A step in this direction was taken to preserve and promote Punjabi culture when Punjabi Society of Houston was established in 1998 with the efforts of the Houston Punjabi community. The primary purpose of this society is to preserve and promote our culture and pass on the heritage to younger generation. The society promotes folk dance, music, art and language of Punjabi’s in an effort to bring the older and younger generations together at a common platform to personally experience and preserve the rich heritage of Punjab.
